Many people are drawn to sound therapy because they’re feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, or simply exhausted from trying to “do” their healing.
If that’s you, this page is here to help you understand what sound therapy is like, who it tends to support, and whether it feels like a good next step—before you decide to schedule.
There’s nothing you need to believe, visualize, or perform.
Just space to rest, receive, and see if this feels supportive.
Sound therapy in this practice is a passive, body-based experience designed to support nervous system regulation through vibration, rhythm, and resonance.
Sessions typically involve instruments such as singing bowls and tuning forks placed on or near the body. The sound is felt as much as it is heard, gently engaging the nervous system without requiring effort or concentration.
Settling rather than stimulation
Receiving rather than effort
Gentle entrainment rather than emotional catharsis
Allowing the body to recalibrate at its own pace
There is nothing to “do right.” You simply allow the sound to work with your system.
Feel chronically stressed, overstimulated, or burnt out
Have difficulty relaxing, resting, or quieting the mind
Feel sensitive to touch, needles, or more active therapies
Want nervous system support without talking or processing
Are navigating anxiety, fatigue, or emotional overload
Many clients choose sound therapy specifically because it allows their system to settle without needing to explain or analyze anything.
To lie fully clothed on a treatment table
Minimal talking once the session begins
Gentle sound and vibration moving through the body
No requirement to relax, meditate, or focus
The option to pause or adjust at any point
Sessions are designed to feel calming, spacious, and non-invasive
Looking for a highly directive or conversational session
Wanting immediate symptom “fixes” rather than regulation
Uncomfortable with quiet, stillness, or rest
Seeking intense emotional release or cathartic processing
This practice is intentionally cash-based, allowing sessions to remain flexible and responsive rather than constrained by insurance protocols.
Many clients appreciate the clarity and autonomy this model provides.

This personalized treatment targets not only physical tension, but also the energetic and emotional layers of the body, gently loosening stagnation and promoting flow in both the connective tissues and meridian systems. Whether you’re managing chronic stress, trauma symptoms, anxiety, or simply seeking a restorative reset, on-body sound therapy offers a gentle, non-invasive approach to whole-person healing.
Through the integration of therapeutic frequencies and direct vibrational contact, this deeply nurturing session invites your body into a state of coherence—where healing, renewal, and a return to inner alignment naturally unfold.
The background and research behind sound-based therapies
On‑Body Sound Therapy—also known as vibroacoustic therapy—is grounded in clinical research showing that low-frequency vibrations (typically 30–120 Hz, often around 40 Hz) delivered directly to the body support nervous system regulation, stress reduction, and emotional balance.
On-the-body sound therapy is rooted in principles of frequency medicine and bioresonance, this practice works by transmitting sound waves into the muscles, fascia, and energy centers, encouraging deep relaxation and restoring harmony within the body’s internal systems.
Current research suggests that sound-based interventions—especially those incorporating low-frequency vibration—can help shift the brain from high-alert beta states into more restorative alpha and theta wave patterns, associated with calm, creativity, and parasympathetic healing. Studies have also shown improvements in heart rate variability, reduced cortisol levels, and enhanced vagal tone, all markers of increased nervous system resilience and emotional regulation.
Clinical trials have shown that after a 40-minute low-frequency session, participants experience a significant increase in heart rate variability (HRV)—a key indicator of improved parasympathetic (vagal) activity—at 30 minutes post-treatment, compared to no‑vibration controls .
Similarly, pilot studies in university students confirmed statistically significant improvements in HRV measures such as LF/HF ratio following vibroacoustic sessions .
Higher HRV reflects better stress resilience, emotional regulation, and recovery capacity.
In addition to improved HRV, clients often report reduced muscle tension, enhanced mood, and a sense of energetic flow.
Vibration therapy supports connective tissue release and may align with body‑energy channels.
While more large-scale randomized control trials are underway, existing evidence positions vibroacoustic sound therapy as a non-invasive, research‑backed modality for physical and emotional well‑being .
Through acupuncture, we work to stimulate energy flow, restore harmony within the body, and address the root causes of pain, stress, emotional blockages, and nervous system imbalances.
Paired with sound therapy, we use therapeutic vibrations and frequencies to target your nervous system, energy channels, and emotional centers, guiding you into a deeply relaxed state where you can release stored tension, trauma, and stagnant energy.
120 Minute Session
We begin with acupuncture, to activate the brain-body connection, releasing dopamine and natural pain killers, while kicking off a full body healing response.
On-body sound therapy follows, melting away any lingering tension in the facial and muscles, while simultaneously shifting the brain into a dreamy alpha-theta state.
Feel the profound connection between your body and mind, and leave the session feeling restored, and renewed.

Inner Calm + Nervous System Reset
“I didn’t realize how much tension I was holding until it started to melt away. The sound bowls felt like they were tuning my entire body back to peace. I left the session with a quiet mind and a regulated nervous system—something I hadn’t felt in years.”
— L.M., Educator

Trauma Release + Emotional Intergration
“I’ve done talk therapy for years, but this was different. The sound reached places words never could. I felt deep emotions rise and move through me—gently, without force. It was the first time I felt safe letting go.”
— R.K., Small Business Owner/ Entrepreneur

Sleep Restoration + Energetic Balance
“After my session, I slept more deeply than I have in months. My body felt aligned, like the frequencies had re-set something on a cellular level. I woke up the next morning feeling clear and rested.”
— T.J., Artist, Wife and Homemaker

Fascia Unwinding + Physical Release
“The sound therapy was surprisingly physical—in the best way. I could feel the vibrations working through tight spots in my shoulders and jaw. It was like my body finally exhaled. The relief was immediate and lasting.”
— S.K, Yoga Instructor
